'Honoring loved ones through film'

Dan Spigel, producer and director of the film "House of the Generals," will be the featured speaker at the July 14 bereavement luncheon hosted by Ann's Haven VNA.


Spigel based his film on the life of his mother, who lived through the Russian Revolution and Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, losing her family in the Holocaust. The topic of his speech will be “Channeling Grief: Honoring Loved Ones Through Film.”

The luncheon is from noon to 1 p.m. at the Denton Elks Lodge on 228 East Oak Street in Denton There is no cost to attend the luncheon, but reservations are requested and can be made by calling Molly Harrison, Ann's Haven VNA bereavement coordinator, at 940-349-5900.

Ann's Haven VNA bereavement luncheons offer supportive company from friendly and understanding people to individuals who have suffered the loss of a loved one.
